Black Stars head coach, Charles Kwablan Akonnor says his team is fully prepared knowing that the England-based players will miss the South Africa Afcon qualifier clash.
Captain Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey all missed the trip to South Africa due to UK COVID-19 restrictions.
The trio will have to be quarantined for 10 days upon return to UK if they traveled to South Africa for the game.
The three players, however, could be ready for the final qualifying game against São Tomé which will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
And Akonnor says he prepared his team having in mind he will have to play the game without them.
“At least today we were sure of the squad, everybody has come and so we have prepared adequately knowing very well the match ahead of us is a tough one, we are very very hopeful, ” Akonnor told the media after the team’s final training on Tuesday before flying to Johannesburg.
“In the beginning, it was difficult, whether we will be able to get them [foreign players]we don’t know.
“But we were aware that the possibility is there that we will not go with them.
“So we prepared ourselves without them, should they come in, it will be fantastic.
“Without them, we have done well in those areas and we don’t have much of worries.
“I said from the beginning that, I’m going to give the locals the chance.
“I think for a long time now we have not had this numbers of local players.
“So I’m very very happy that we have been able to achieve that, not just me because the boys have also shown the qualities and need a fair chance.” Akonnor said
Ghana, four-time African Champions play South Africa in the penultimate group C qualifier at the FNB Stadium on March 25 before the final game against São Tomé on March 28 in Accra.
The Black Stars are joint top of group C with 9 points and will need just a draw to qualify for the 2022 AFCON to be staged in Cameroon.
