Sports Cul limited says the upcoming December polls in Ghana will determine it mammoth investment into the Ghana league according GFA vice president, George Afriyie.
Sports Cul limited, a sports marketing firm on Tuesday held a press conference in Accra announcing plans of investing $44m in the domestic football in Ghana.
The Sports marketing firm which has top personalities like Dr. Kwaku Ofosu Asare and Barima Atuahene as frontiers said they are partnering a Turkish company to bring such huge investment.
However George Afriyie, an executive member of the Ghana football association speaking to Kumasi based Kessben FM after Sports CUL’s announcement stated the sports marketing group haven’t officially met the Ghana football Association about such an intention.
“The leading members of this consortium are men I know. One of these men is Barima Atuahene, he’s someone I know well and respect”
He invited me sometime past to a new office, the place where they held their press conference yesterday”
“Let me state that just like they informed the press is the same way they told me about it and I advised them that the product, the premier league and the division one league belongs to the GFA so if you are sports marketing company and you want to sponsor anything, I advice you meet the Football Association for us to know your plans, vision and everything so that we can cooperate” Said the Vice president of the Ghana football association.
“But the understanding they made to me is that, they are looking at the general elections, how it will go and some few things thus the deal will come next year February” He added.
