President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Okraku has slammed the South African Football Association following their ‘baseless and disrespectful allegations against Ghana after their FIFA World Cup qualifier defeat to the Black Stars.
SAFA appealed to FIFA last Sunday in protest of the 1-0 defeat that Bafana Bafana suffered in the hands of the Black Star.
Captain Andre Ayew’s 33rd-minute penalty was all that Ghana need to top Group G and to book qualification for the play-offs.
After feeling that Senegalese referee Maget Ndiae made many obvious mistakes in the match, the national FA is demanding a rematch between Bafana Bafana and Ghana.
SAFA believes that N’Diaye had a prejudice at night and that most of his decisions, including the suspicious penalties he gave, supported Ghana.
Speaking on Thursday 18th November, 2021, the WAFU Zone B President said:
“You can see clearly, the South Africans keep shifting goalpost from being robbed by the referee to the match being manipulated by external or third parties or the match being played by ball boys,”
“How would they even dream that they can match up against the Black Stars in Ghana, how is that possible. South Africa must not be bad losers, and I want to assure everybody in this country that for Danny Jordaan to speak against the President of our land is most unfortunate. For Danny Jordaan to say that the results of the game will have social-economic impact on Ghana, the same could be applicable to the Republic of South Africa.
“Since when did South Africa become a superpower over Ghana in football because Ghana will defend our rights to the maximum.” Mr. Okraku concluded.

Meanwhile, FIFA has acknowledged receipt of SAFA’s complaint, saying investigations are ongoing into the allegations.
