New Edubiase United FC owner Abdul Salam Yakubu has asked the technical team of the Ghana Black Stars to hand Accra Hearts of Oak star Daniel Afriyie Barnieh a call up ahead of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World.
The youngster has been very consistent for Heart of Oak since last season and played a key role when the team won double to break the ten years trophy drought.
The young man is Hearts top scorer this season in the Ghana Premier League with with eight goals and has been a pivot for the team.
“They should give this young striker, Barnieh the chance to the World Cup. We have to give him the chance to learn. Afriyie Barnieh is very good. He is a fantastic player. He is very fast. He is having all the qualities.
“We have to take him to the World Cup. He is capable of scoring in every game.” Mr. Abdul Salam revealed this on Original FM.
Barnieh was the captain of the 2021 Ghana U20 team and scored twice in the final to win the trophy for the Black Satellites.
