Right from his days with the Ghana Black Starlets in 2011, Baba’s talent was glaring as broad daylight and he has cemented his place as the Black Stars first choice left back.
Eight years ago, Baba made his debut for the Black Stars as he provided two assists which propelled Ghana to victory on the day.
He remains one of the few players to have gone through almost all the Ghana national team age groups aside the U-23 and he has always given his best.
The Chelsea owned player is almost reaching fifty caps as he is now on 44. He is the left back with the highest number of appearances for Ghana in history.
When he goes injury free, he is a delight to watch on the flanks with his surging runs and ability to defend.
Despite joining Reading late on loan, he has already made three appearances and is undoubtedly one of Manager Paul Ince’s trusted men at the back.
With just fifty days to the start of the World Cup in Qatar, Baba will be one of the delightful players who can help the Black Stars to qualify to the second round.
Baba has already tasted world cup action at U-20 level and is certainly on his way to Qatar for the senior edition because of his fine form.
