Accra Hearts of Oak National Chapters PRO Paa Kofi Sunsum insists the club’s lifewire Winful Cobbinah won’t make any mistake by joining arch rivals Asante Kotoko.
According to the vociferous Hearts supporter, Cobbinah’s exploits in the ongoing Wafu Tournament makes him more suitable for European market adding the deadly Black Stars ‘B’ winger would be making the ‘biggest mistake in his football career should he consider a move to the Garden City.
The highly rated midfielder’s sublime finish on Saturday against Mali at the Cape Coast stadium was all that Ghana needed to seal qualification to the semifinals of the 2017 Wafu Cup.
His incredible performance this season for Hearts has seen him receive praises from Ghanaians football fanatics, earning him a call up to the Black Stars senior team 2019 Cup of Nations qualifier match against Ethiopia and friendlies with Mexico and USA.
“Winful Cobbina, as intelligent as he is, will not make that mistake by moving backwards to Kotoko, he is for European market and not Kumasi”. He told Kumasi based Fox FM.
“Kotoko must be intuitive of the fact that Charles Taylor was not that intelligent enough in making a decision for himself that is why he chose to move to Kotoko instead of Switzerland when he even had better offers aside that from Switzerland’’.
‘’Cobbina as of now has several oversea offers on the table aside that from Premier league side Huddersfield and I know he is too intelligent and won’t choose Kotoko over English premiership’’.
Sunsum concluded “Kotoko has the type of Winful Cobbinah in their team, but their problem is they don’t cherish their own, and they don’t know how to market players and how to nurture players into stardom. Amos Frimpong is amazing scouts at the Wafu tournament, but his own club has not seen to market him, but they rather market that of other clubs”.
