Following their match against Aduana Stars, Tamale City FC players and officials were subjected to an attack on Sunday.
The encounter took place during Week 25 of the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season in Dormaa.
Despite a tough game, Aduana Stars managed to secure a narrow 1-0 win over Tamale City FC with a very late goal. However, as the Tamale City FC bus was leaving Dormaa, some alleged Aduana Stars fans attacked the team bus by pelting stones, causing significant damage.
The players suffered injuries from being hit by the stones, and the bus’s glass windows were also broken. The reason behind the attack is not known.
