Baba Yahaya, the recently acquired midfielder for Asante Kotoko, has conveyed his enthusiasm upon successfully joining the ranks of the renowned Ghanaian football giants.
At the age of 21, Baba Yahaya’s association with the Porcupine family is set to extend until 2026, having formalized a three-year contract subsequent to fulfilling mandatory medical evaluations.
Baba becomes the third addition to Kotoko’s midfield roster, following the previous signings of Andrews Ntim and Bernard Somuah.
Versatile in his playing style, Baba comfortably operates on either flank and can also excel as a number 10. In the previous season’s campaign with city rivals King Faisal FC, he showcased his prowess by netting five goals, contributing five assists, and being honored with the man of the match accolade on five occasions.
Having familiarized himself with the Baba Yara Stadium from past experiences, Baba expressed his sentiments during his introduction, emphasizing his thrill at finally realizing this move.
“I feel honoured to finally be here. I have been dreaming of this day, ” he told the Kotoko media.
