In his words, “Ivory Coast is possible,” indicating that the Black Stars are poised for a competitive and promising campaign.
Ghana boasts a rich history in AFCON, clinching the coveted title four times, with the last triumph occurring in 1982. However, the team has faced heartbreaks in three subsequent finals, succumbing to penalties against Ivory Coast in 1992, a defeat to Egypt in 2010, and a repeat loss to Ivory Coast in 2015.
The AFCON 2023 tournament is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, January 13, and will captivate football enthusiasts until February 11, 2024.
