Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini has shared his excitement after scoring the decisive goal in Union Saint-Gilloise’s victory over Sporting Charleroi on Saturday. The Right to Dream Academy graduate secured his team’s win by calmly converting a penalty in the final moments of the match, marking his first home goal for the Belgian club.
“I feel amazing. I feel very confident with the team. I think we just have to keep on going and working as a team. It will take time to get more goals, but then we have to keep going and we will get to win more games,” Fuseini said in a post-match interview.
Despite only joining Union Saint-Gilloise this summer, the 22-year-old confidently stepped up to take the match-winning penalty in the 93rd minute. Fuseini emphasized that penalty-taking is one of his key strengths and that he doesn’t feel any pressure when tasked with such responsibilities.
“Taking penalties has always been one of my assets. I don’t really have pressure to take penalties. If I have a chance, I just make sure I score the goal and that’s it,” he added.
Since joining the team, Fuseini has already made a strong impact, scoring two goals and providing an assist in just three matches.
