Former Black Maidens forward, Laadi Issaka chalked 35.32 percent of the 1172 votes to emerge as the Hero of the Week in the D1 Women’s Soccer.
The Mississippi Valley State University goal poacher produced two extravagant goals and an assist in a 3:0 win against MUW to snatch the coveted weekly honor.
In a competition with 10 other female footballers; Grace Hagan of Kansas, North Dagota’s Cassie Giddings and Northwestern State’s April Trowbridge all powered in 3 magnificent goals over the weekend.
Others who scored brace over the weekend include; Katie Moller of North Dagota, Jenny Hipp of Massachusetts, Erica Hubert of Bowling Green, Texas State’s Kaylee Davis, Sara Quevedo of Chicago State and Chelsee Washington of Bowling Green.

It was a magnificent tally for the Ghanaian securing 414 of the votes, a 35.32 percent from a total vote of 1,172 to win the ultimate Hero of the Week prize.
Issaka was a part of Ghana’s historic bronze place finish in the 2014 FIFA Women’s Under 17 World Cup at Azerbaijan led by Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.
Laadi was one of the two top students to graduate from Mississippi Valley State University with an astounding GPA of 4.0 – she’s currently pursuing a Master’s Degree.
She has been a standout force on the field of play; she led the goals per game in the D1 Women’s Soccer in 2016 – did same in the assist per game in 2015.
