The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has strengthened the Video Analysis Unit of the Black Stars with the appointment of Belgian expert Gregory De Grauwe as Chief Video Analyst.
De Grauwe brings extensive experience and a strong academic background to the role. He holds a UEFA License B Coaching Certificate, qualifications in Performance Analysis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. His expertise has been honed through roles with prominent Belgian clubs such as STVV, Sporting Lokeren, K. Beerschot VA, SC Zulte Waregem, and KV Kortrijk.
In addition to his club experience, De Grauwe has served as a lecturer on Video Analysis for the Royal Belgian Football Association since December 2020, further solidifying his reputation in the field.
His combined training in coaching and video analysis gives him a comprehensive perspective that will be instrumental in providing tactical insights to the Black Stars’ coaching staff. De Grauwe’s eight years of coaching experience in Belgium enhances his ability to contribute effectively to the team’s technical setup.
The GFA expects De Grauwe’s appointment to significantly improve the Black Stars’ tactical preparations and overall performance. His role will involve analyzing match footage, identifying key patterns, and providing strategic support to help the team excel in future competitions.
