Asante Kotoko produced a spirited comeback at home to earn a 2-2 draw against Medeama SC, with Samba O’Neil scoring a dramatic late equaliser to deny the visitors all three points.
Medeama started the game brilliantly, taking the lead just five minutes into the match through Derrick Fordjour, who finished off a well-worked move.
The visitors doubled their advantage in the 19th minute when Yusif Mubarik curled in a beautiful effort, leaving the home fans stunned as Kotoko trailed 0-2.

Kotoko, however, regrouped and showed greater urgency after the break. Their persistence paid off in the 60th minute when Peter Amidu Acquah pulled one back with a composed finish to make it 1-2.
With momentum now on their side, the Porcupine Warriors kept pressing for an equaliser, and their efforts were rewarded late in the game when Samba O’Neil fired home to complete the comeback and level the score at 2-2.
Medeama, who looked in control earlier on, were unable to hold on as Kotoko’s pressure intensified in the closing stages.
The draw sees both teams share the spoils in an entertaining Ghana Premier League fixture.
