Tunisia has always been one of the best destinations for Ghanaian footballers on the continent. Players like former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Sammy Adjei, 2010 AFCON star Opoku Agyemang, striker Emmanuel Clottey are some of the Ghanaian players to have played professionally in the North African country.
But among the lot, who are the players to have enjoyed more success in Tunisia after Kwame Bonsu helped Esperance to lift this season’s league title?

5.Kwame Bonsu – Esperance Sportive de Tunis
Bonsu signed for Esperance in July 2019 and has helped them to clinch record-extending 30th league title already. This is the first piece of silverware of the Ghanaian player in Tunisia.
4.Seidu Salifu – Club Africain
The former Wa All Stars midfielder played for Club Africain between 2013 and 2016 where he won the 2014.15 Tunisia league as a key part of the team.
Salifu was known for his tough-tackling qualities during his stay in the North African country.
3.Moussa Narry – Etoile du Sahel
Narry – who represented Ghana at the 2010 AFCON – joined Etoile in 2006 from Sahel FC of Niger and went on to win 3 titles with them including the CAF Champions League.

2.Sadat Bukari – Etoile du Sahel
Sadat joined Etoile from Heart of Lions in 2007 after his goal-scoring exploits in the Ghana Premier League and in Tunisia he won big titles once again with Etoile du Sahel before he left Africa for Israel.

1.Harrison Afful – Esperance Sportive de Tunis
The most successful Ghanaian player to have played for Tunisian clubs is Afful ( at least per the records available to us). He spent six years with Eeperance and won 6 major honors. At the peak of his career where he became firet choice Ghana full-back Afful was still an Esperance player plying his trade right here in Africa.
Trohpies won : 4 Tunisia league titles, 1 Tunisian Cup and 1 CAF Champions League.
