Asante Kotoko defender Samuel Frimpong was given a rousing welcome by the fans of Bekwai Youth Football Academy when they hosted the Porcupine Warriors during the Round of 64 of the MTN FA Cup.
Kotoko won 2-0 with goals from Emmanuel Keyekeh and Fabio Gama to reach the Round of 32 of the Cup competition.
The game also saw former Kotoko defender Augustine Sefah play for BYFA.
Frimpong entered the game at the 76th minute as he replaced Andy Kumi Francis but it was the home fans that made the afternoon a better one for the versatile Frimpong as they displayed a banner to welcome him back to Bekwai – the club where he last played before joining the Ghanaian giants.
