Captain for Accra-based Premier League side Great Olympics, Gladson Awako has heaped praises on rivals midfielder, Emmanuel Nettey after the Ga-Mantse derby.
According to the Black Stars midfielder, the Phobians player had a great game and scored with a powerful strike in the 1-1 stalemate between the two teams on Sunday evening.
“Great game yesterday bro @Romerojnr10 powerful strike love that”, Awako wrote after the game.
Emmanuel Nettey was adjudged Man-Of-The-Match in the Ga-Mantse derby after superlative strike on a half volley from outside the box into the top right corner of the goal.
Nettey’s goal was not enough to secure a vital away win for the Phobians but it was a belter and deserves to be selected for the 2021 Ghana Premier League goal of the season award.
The game ended in a draw but the Olympic captain could not hide his feelings about Hearts midfielder’s goal and did not shy away from commending him for a wonderful strike.
The goal was Nettey’s first goal of the season.
