The best thing that can ever happen to a footballer is making a move to a club that will offer him more playing time and as well see him improve every week.
After a young career shaped by the famed Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, Kamaldeen Sulemana moved to join Danish outfit, Nordsjaelland in 2020 where he will almost instantly become a hit.
After just a season at Nordsjaelland, Sulemana was on the radar of several European clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool, Bayern Leverkusen and Ajax Amsterdam.
Ajax and Manchester United were neck-to-neck in battle for the signature of the younger man from the Northern part of Ghana.
However, the 19-year-old swerved all the top clubs to sign for French Ligue 1 side, Stade Rennais FC from Nordsjaelland in a 5-year deal reported to be in the region of €20 million.
Prior to joining Rennais for the ongoing French Ligue 1 season, he notched 43 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals with 8 assists at Nordsjaelland.
The move to Stade Rennais FC looks like a step in the right direction having made 8 appearances in Ligue 1, scoring 3 goals and yet to make an assist this season.
Kamaldeen Sulemana has played two games for Rennais in the UEFA Conference League. He played in their 2-2 home draw against England side, Tottenham Hotspur and the 2-1 away win against Dutch club, Vitesse where he rose from the bench to score the winner on the 70th minute.
The goal against Vitesse was his first in Europe since joining Rennais and Kamaldeen Sulemana tweeted to express his joy.
Rennais are now level on four points as Tottenham Hotspur in Group G after two matches with Vitesse on three points in 3rd and Mura bottom of the table in the UEFA Conference League.
They will next play away to Mura of Slovenia on 21st October in the third game.
The youngster will continue his exploits in the French Ligue 1 as they welcome league leaders, Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday, October 3.
Kamaldeen has played two international friendly games – against Mali and Qatar and one 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier for the Black Stars of Ghana per records.
