The cause of Milovan’s premature departure is not performance related – not at all – as even according to Algerian site Lebuteur.com Mr.Raouraoua initially did not accept the resignation letter of the ex Qatar coach but as coach “Milo” insisted, his wish had to be given as players disrespected him.
Also Milovan has revealed how some Algerian players physically and verbally assaulted him in the dressing room at the Stade Mustapha Tchaker in Blida following the team’s 1-1 WC qualifying draw with Cameroon last Sunday 9th October raising serious ethical questions of the Algerian national team players.
HISTORIC NOTE – Algeria have never beaten Cameroon in a competitive match even before the arrival of Milovan Rajevac.
Milovan Rajevac alongside his interlocutor met the president of the Algerian Football Federation, Mohamed Raouraoua yesterday to discuss his future as the manager of The Greens and eventually the Serbian trainer left his role after overseeing just two games- an AFCON 2017 qualifier vs Lesotho and the problematic WC qualifying game against Cameroon.
During his meeting with the president of the FAF, Monday afternoon at National Technical Centre(CTN), he did not hide his disappointment after what happened in the locker room at the end of the match against Cameroon . The national coach has told his interlocutor that he was taken aback and had tears in his eyes after being hit with a pair of soccer boots launched at him by a player who was disappointed for not starting the game (big names Yacine Brahimi vice captain, Sofiane Feghouli who did not start the game in question are big suspects )
The coach said he was also shocked by the criticism and insults he suffered in the locker room and that’s why he asked to leave as he believes he can no longer continue the adventure after taking over from Christian Gourcuf a little over three months ago.
Its revealing to know that recent coaches of the team Vahid Halilhodzic, Christian Gourcuf have recently left the same role despite being handed fresh deals.

Indeed, the coach yesterday was at the National Technical Centre (NTC)of Sidi Moussa from Moretti. At NTC, he met President Raouraoua with whom he discussed the situation amicably.
An hour spent for contract termination
The meeting between the two men took time, unlike that which took Mohamed Raouraoua only five minutes to part ways with Christian Gourcuff. But yesterday’s lasted almost an hour. Lawyers for the FAF and those of the Serbian took care of the legal procedure, but it took place in a relaxed manner.
Raouraoua was against his departure, but the former Ghana coach insisted on his resignation.
According to Lebuteur, the president of the Algerian Football Federation refused to let him go and insisted on keeping the Serbia trainer but Mr.Milovan had already made up his mind and nothing was going to change that having been abused by footballers he trained -an ordeal that he never suffered when he coached the Black Stars to reach the finals of the 2010 AFCON and masterminded Ghana’s remarkable quarter-final run at the South Afrca World Cup . As he took a decision to leave, the president accepted his decision and that the Algeria FA boss did not also want to keep him against his will.
Rajevac will receive only the salary of October 2016
Milovan Rajevac has not requested any compensation due to the correct rapport that exist between him and Mr. Raouraoua. He will only receive the salary for the month of October.
Milo’s assistant and translator Kristian Cvijetic will remain with the national team, it is only Milovan that leaves as Raouraoua shows love to Milovan
It is only Milovan Rajevac that quits as his assistant Kristian Cvijetic who doubled as translator between Milovan and the Algerian players continues with the Greens. Cvijetic joined Milovan’s technical staff in June and will continue to work for the North Africans despite the exit of his boss.
