Africa: Pitso Mosimane believes Al Ahly are capable of winning 3rd consecutive CAF CL title

Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane believes his team has all it takes to win their third consecutive CAF Champions League title.

The Red Devils were handed a tough draw in the 2022 CAF Champions League as they were placed in Group A alongside Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Hilal, and Al Merreikh.

After two CAF Champions League title wins in a row, Cairo giants now have their eyes set on a third consecutive victory to go down in history as the first team to ever do it.

At the draw, Al Ahly boss Pitso Mosimane declared that they can go for a third title as they have the capabilities to do so.

“When you take charge of a club like Al Ahly, you’re always under pressure, you have to win continental titles,” Pitso said.

“I’ve already won two titles, why not win another one, it’s not an easy task, but my team has the capabilities to do it.

“Our group is difficult, Al Ahly hasn’t won their game in Sudan in a while, it will not be easy.

“Facing Sundowns will be difficult too, they want to beat us but we can get the victory again.”
