Four time Ghana Premier League Champions Ashantigold Sporting Club limited has received a double cabin Toyota Pick Up for their operations and day to day errands and a state of the art Genset to ensure uninterrupted power supply at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
The slightly used car which looks almost new in a very good condition and the Genset were presented to the 2014/15 Ghana Premier League Champions by Anglogold Ashanti who were ably represented by Nana Ampofo Bekoe,Head of Sustainability at AGA.
In a brief but colourful presentation ceremony,Nana Ampofo charged the management of Ashgold to adhere strictly to the maintenance culture of the mines and assured them of the support of the board of directors.
Kudjoe Fianoo,the CEO of Ashgold SC did not hide his excitement and that of the management, the technical team and the entire playing body and reiterated that “the gesture couldn’t have come in a more appropriate period”.
The CEO who also doubles as the Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association recounted the number of times,the operations of management were disrupted by power outages and occasions where sick players were taken to hospitals in Taxis.
Kudjoe Fianoo thanked AGA and promised that the Genset and the Toyota pick up will be put to good use.
The ceremony was also attended by Engineering manager of AGA ,Alhaji Mumuni, other management members and some supporters of the Obuasi based football club..
