Ghana midfielder Alhassan Wakaso has signed a fresh contract with Portuguese Liga side Vitoria Guimaraes, keeping him at the club until 2021.
The former Rio Ave’s star contract with the Conquerors was due to expire this summer but he has been offered a new two-year deal following his explosive performance.
The intelligent enforcer has now been tied at the Estadio Afonso Henriques until June 30, 2021.
Wakako has so played 27 games for Vitoria Guimaraes, scoring two goals.
The twice capped Black Stars midfielder after signing the contract extension hinted that he will continue doing his best.
“Guimaraes is like a home for me, has been great playing here and I am so happy to continue. I will always give my best for the club.” Wakaso said.
He has previously had stints with for Rio Ave, Portimonense and Lorient.
