Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu has committed his future to Stade Rennes, signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2029. Despite facing a major injury setback, Rennes has demonstrated full faith in his ability and leadership.
Seidu, who joined the French side fourteen months ago during the winter transfer window, has quickly become a key figure in the squad. His versatility—capable of playing as a right-back, left-back, or center-back—has made him an invaluable asset. His no-nonsense approach and strong leadership earned him back-to-back Player of the Month awards for September and October.
However, his momentum was halted on November 24 when he suffered a cruciate ligament tear in his left knee during a match against Lille. Despite the setback, Seidu remains determined to return stronger.
“I keep working hard every day to prepare for my comeback and get back to my pre-injury level,” he affirmed, showing unwavering resilience.
