Tarkwa-based Medeama SC put Dreams FC to the sword at the Akoon Park when the two teams squared off in the Ghana Premier League week 19 clash.
The Yellow and Mauves comfortably beat the Green and Whites in Tarkwa on Sunday afternoon to move on 30 points after 19 games to take fifth position on the league table and are four points off the top spot.
Burkina Faso international, Amed Toure broke the deadlock of the match to put the hosts in front inside the first half after 16 minutes.
The 33-year-old former Asante Kotoko SC striker struck again in the second half after 68 minutes of the match to win the game for home team with a 2-0 scoreline.
The victors will host Legon Cities FC in Tarkwa next Saturday and the Dawu-based club Dreams FC will play Karela United FC next Sunday in Dawu.
