Former Ghanaian midfielder, Anthony Annan has disclosed how he prepared spiritually for his debut game against Brazil.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak Player said he was thrown into a state of shock after he was surprisingly selected by French coach Claude Leroy in the starting lineup against the Selecao.
“I went to my room privately and prayed and also called my pastor and told him this was the case, he also prayed for me and assured me to be confident, by God’s Grace the Almighty listened to my prayers and excelled” Annan said in an interview on Baidoo TV
The game against the former World Champions ultimately was the springboard for the tough tackling player to become a household name in the Black Stars.
Anthony Annan was paired alongside Eric Addo in midfielder against a star started side including Ronaldinho, Kaka, Robinho and Lucio. Vagnor love scored the lone goal in the match as the South Americans defeated the Black Stars in highly anticipated friendly which took place at the Rasunda Stadioum in Sweden.
