CAF Confederations Cup campaigners Ashantigold SC will engage second tier side Asokwa Deportivo in a friendly game in Obuasi on Saturday as they step up preparations for their crucial reverse leg game with RS Berkane in Morocco.
Coach Da Rocha will be using the game to test his team’s strength and also to correct all errors before they make the trip to North Africa to face the Moroccan giants.
Both teams met in friendly encounters on two occasions in 2018, with Ashantigold winning all two games by 3:2 (Goals from Salia Ouattara, Richard Djodi and Roland Amouzou) and 3:1 (Goals from Daniel Gozar, Richard Djodi and Amos Addai)
This will be the first time the teams will be meeting this year.
The team after the match, will be given a break on Sunday and resume training on Monday, 23rd September, 2019.
