Ghana Football Association former vice president Fred Pappoe believes that the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC and rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC are to be blamed for the clubs woes.
The astute football administrator says both clubs fails to perform in CAF Inter-Club competitions due to bad management of the affairs of the club.
According to him, the Ghana Football Association can’t be blamed for the predicaments of the clubs because their management are to be blamed.
He stated that Hearts of Oak SC sacked their head coach Samuel Boadu at the eleventh hour and that caused them aga AS Real Bamako in Mali last Saturday.
He also said that Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC always sell their best players and believes these are the reasons the teams keep failing in Africa Club competition.
“The most prominent reasons why our clubs especially Kotoko and Hearts fail in the Africa club competitions is that the team that qualifies them for Africa mostly dismantled by the clubs themselves before the start of the competition.”
“Typical example is what Hearts did, you can’t sack Samuel Boadu with a week to Africa without appointing a new head coach, who does that.
Kotoko also sold most of their players and when you do that, definitely you will be kicked out.”
