Newly promoted Ghana Premier League club Bibiani Gold Stars, have announced a mega kit partnership deal with American kit manufacturing brand icarus for the upcoming season.
Icarus is a unique brand that never uses templates. Instead, they create unique kits that draw upon the heritage and identity of a football club.
Gold Stars’ 2021/22 kits will be released in the coming weeks and are inspired by the club’s imagery and iconography.
The partnership represents the club’s first kit partnership on such an international scale. In addition to the designed match kits, Icarus has modernized the club’s crest on the beautiful jerseys.
“Due to the international nature of this partnership, Icarus will also provide a platform for fans outside of Ghana to purchase replica shirts from their website, icarusfc.com. Local fans also will be able to purchase replica shirts from Bibiani Goldstars S.C. directly at a an affordable price, and these shirts will be made from the exact same high-quality fabric as the shirts worn by the players and retailed on icarusfc.com,” the reputable brand said in s statement.
The club’s official kit designs will be out before Friday 29th October, 2021.
Bibiani Gold Stars rewrote their history books by securing promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the first time after a goalless draw against Pacific Heroes with two games before the end of the season.
Gold Stars became the first side to be promoted to the Premier League for next season.
Meanwhile, Real Tamale United and Accra Lions FC also qualified from Zone 1 and Zone 3 respectively for the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.

“We’re delighted to announce that Bibiani Goldstars will be wearing Icarus for their inaugural season in the Ghana Premier League,” Icarus announced Tuesday.
“The club’s kits will be released ahead of the 2021/22 GPL season, which commences on Friday 29th October.”
