Ghanaian forward, Asamoah Boateng Afriyie of Asokwa Deportivo SC was awarded with the Most Valuable Player award against Proud United in Takoradi.
The Ghanaian scored twice for his team in their hard-earned 2-1 win on the road at Proud United on Sunday afternoon.
After going six games without a goal, the tall striker broke his goal duck in style as he powered the ‘Allah is Great’ team to a deserved victory in the Ghana Second Tier league.
The visitors were without a win since beating Swedru All Blacks 2-1 at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi in the week one encounter of the 2020-21 Ghana Division One League campaign.
The attacker was set up by Gordon Kusi Brokelyn to score twice to win the match for the Namoro Boys on the road for the first and remain unbeaten away from home.
Asokwa Deportivo SC will face Unistar Academy in their week nine clash in Obuasi.
