Dutch-born Ghanaian teen defender Derek Emmanuel Adjei Agyakwa believes Watford is the ‘perfect’ club for him to develop better as a footballer.
The English Premier League side, recently handed Agyakwa a one-year contract extension following his impressive display with the U23 team.
Speaking exclusively to SPORTSworldGhana.com, the talented central defender said: ” I am very happy with my one-year extension with Watford FC. It shows that the club has faith in me, faith in my skills and faith in my potentials as well,”
He continued by saying: ” I am happy, I am very pleased and hoping that my coach gives me the needed opportunity and makemy debut as soon as possible and just develop.
”I think Watford is the perfect football club for me to develop at the moment,” Agyakwa told SPORTSworldGhana.com.
Agyakwa’s initial contract had an option to extend it and the club has done exactly so to help the youngster develop better at the club.
The 18-year old defender is eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
