Ex-Ghana goalkeeper, Abubakari Damba says the game plan and the attitude of the Black Stars players in the 1-1 stalemate against Ethiopia last Thursday was awful and not good enough.
Ghana drew 1-1 at the Orlando stadium in Johannesburg in the penultimate qualifier last Thursday and the former Ghana goalkeeper was certainly not impressed with the performance of the players.
According to him, the attitude of the players and the game plan especially in the second half was poor and abysmal and is, therefore, hoping for a better performance on Sunday South Africa in the decisive clash in Cape Coast.
“We were better in the first half and I was expecting that we improve on that in the second half but we failed to keep our composure,” he said on GTV Sports Plus.
“We played poorly in the second half and it was shocking.
“Our attitude and game plan was poor and I think we were lucky not have to concede more goals because we lost concentration at some point.
“This is not good enough if you want to qualify for a tournament and I am expecting a better performance on Sunday against South Africa,” he added.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 19:00GMT.
Ghana will go top of the table and book a playoff spot with a win.
