The acquisition of Abednego Tetteh was met with excitement from the Phobian family after his short but impressive outing in the league a couple of years ago with Bechem United.
Barely a year after the Phobians signed the huge striker, very little can be said about his goal-scoring Prowers which attracted Hearts of Oak to get his signature.
Previously terrorizing defenders with his Bechem side in 2016, the goal poacher has struggled to make the team sheet in recent times with the capital club.
A truncated league coupled with a delay in transfer certificate prevented the striker from making his much-awaited debuted last year.
However, the resumption of the league provided the striker the chance to show of his scoring abilities which has been nothing short of a failure in summary. The last time the player was involved in a game for the Phobians was an unused substitute in their goalless draw game against Berekum Chelsea in January.
Changes in the coaching department from Edward Odoom, Kosta Papic and currently Samuel Boadu has done nothing to change the fortunes of the ex-Real Kashmir player who is bidding his time.
Hearts of Oak fans expected the experience gathered by the player in Sudan whiles playing for Al Hilal Omdurman would have been beneficial to their goal-scoring ability, however, this belief has fast disappeared into thin air after the emergence of Kwadwo Obeng Junior and Victor Aidoo.
Barring any changes to the current status quo, the huge target man will be on his way out of the club either sold on a permanent basis or sent out on loan.
Abednego is fondly remembered for his wonderful display in 2016 for scoring 13 goals in the premier league and a scintillating hat-trick against the Phobians.
