The American-born Ghanaian midfielder marked his Spanish Laliga debut for Valencia on Sunday when they defeated Levante 4-2 in the 2020/21 Laliga season opener at the Mestalla Stadium.
Aged just 17 years and 289 days, Yunus Musah became Valencia CF’s youngest-ever foreign player in Sunday’s derby win against Levante UD.
Having spent time with the Arsenal Youth side, the highly-rated midfielder who turns 18 in November this year, opted to move to Spain after the La Liga outfit showed massive interest in 2019.
Musah before moving to Spain was incredible with the Arsenal U18’s where he scored five goals and also provided two assists in 17 matches.
The Ghanaian international joined Valencia last season and played for their B team before being promoted to the senior side this season.
He made 17 outings with the Valencia B team last season and scored one goal.

1) Yunus Musah was born 29th November 2002 in New York, where his mother was on holiday at the time. He is of Ghanaian descent but lived in Italy until the age of nine, beginning his youth career with local club Giorgione.
After moving to London, he spent seven years at Arsenal FC and graduated from their Hale End academy.
2) Internationally, Musah is eligible to represent either England, Ghana, Italy or the United States. He’s most recently played for England at Under-18 level, having previously captained their U15, U16 and U17 sides.
3) Musah’s first team debut came on 13th September 2020, almost one year to the day after joining the club. He is the first Englishman ever to play for Valencia in a competitive match.

4) Primarily a central midfielder, Musah can also play out wide – as shown against Levante – or as a number 10. He regards his passing and playmaking skills as his strongest asset, but also has explosive pace, dribbling ability and an eye for goal.
5) Musah is a confident personality and natural leader. He likes to talk on the pitch and is already fluent in Spanish. Manager Javi Gracia singled the youngster out for praise in his post-match press conference on Sunday, highlighting his maturity and affirming that he has the talent to become a top player in the future.
