Medeama Captain Joseph Tetteh Zutah believes the Mauves and Yellow lads have the best midfielders in the country ahead of the start of the 2020/21 season.
According to Tetteh, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko can’t compare their midfielders to that of the Tarkwa-based club especially now that it has become clear that Justice Blay will stay at the club.
”Undoubtedly we have the best midfield in Ghana today, there’s no doubt about that,” Zutah told KUMASI FM 104.1MHZ.
‘’Justice Blays’ inclusion this season is a boost, even without him our midfield was very solid. I do not think any club can compete us this season in the midfield.
”It is very good for the team because there will be an equal replacement when one is absent though it will give the coach a selection headache.
”It is not only in the midfield but we have a good defense too.” he concluded.
Asante Kotoko boasts of a solid midfield trio of Mudasiru Salifu, Emmanuel Keyekeh and Latif Anabila while Hearts of Oak have Benjamin Afutu, Emmanuel Nartey and Frederick Ansah Botwe.
Medeama on the other hand, have a compact midfield trio of Justice Blay, Rashid Nortey and Richard Boadu.
