Following Ghana’s Black Stars’ narrow 2-1 defeat to Nigeria, forward Antoine Semenyo shared his thoughts with the press, shedding light on the team’s new approach and reflecting on the match.
Addressing the media, Semenyo highlighted the team’s shift in philosophy, emphasizing their focus on ball possession in the game against Nigeria. “We came into the game with the philosophy of keeping the ball, and we played very well today against Nigeria,” he remarked.
Despite the defeat, Semenyo expressed confidence in the team’s performance, noting their control over the game against their arch-rivals, the Super Eagles of Nigeria. “We really played well today; just that it was unfortunate we were reduced to ten men early in the second half, and who knows, maybe we would have had a better result,” he added.
