Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has acknowledged the tough challenge ahead as Ghana prepares for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Ghana will host Chad on March 21 before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar three days later in their fifth and sixth group-stage matches.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Ga Mantse, Addo sought support and blessings ahead of the crucial fixtures.
“I have come to seek your support and guidance. We have difficult matches, a difficult task ahead of us. Ghana needs urgent victories to go to the World Cup,” Addo said.
His remarks underline the importance of the upcoming games as the Black Stars aim to build on their recent form and strengthen their qualification hopes.
Ghana currently shares the top spot in Group I with Comoros, both on nine points, after back-to-back victories over Mali and the Central African Republic.
Despite these wins, Addo has faced criticism over his tactical approach, with many questioning his ability to lead the team. His future as head coach could be in jeopardy if Ghana fails to secure positive results, as pressure continues to mount on him.
