English-born Ghanaian youngster Charles Sagoe Jr scored a goal for Arsenal U19 during their UEFA Youth League match against Sevilla U19. Despite his effort, Arsenal lost 2-1 at the Estadio Jesus Navas.
Alberto Collado opened the scoring for Sevilla in the 12th minute, with Jose Antonio Lopez adding another goal later in the match.
Sagoe Jr managed to pull one back for Arsenal with seven minutes remaining in the game.
After this loss, Arsenal U19s remain at the bottom of their group with no points after three matches, all of which they’ve lost. Lens leads the table with 9 points, followed by Sevilla and PSV, both with 4 points.
Sagoe Jr made his first-team debut for Arsenal last month during their 1-0 victory over Brentford in the Carabao Cup. In the Premier League Two, he has played five games for the Arsenal U21 team this season, scoring one goal and providing four assists. He also has one goal in three appearances in the UEFA Youth League this campaign.
