Ghanaian international Kwabena Owusu has signed a six-month contract with Hungarian club Zalaegerszeg FC, joining to enhance their attacking options.
The 26-year-old forward brings considerable experience, having played in several leagues throughout his career.
Owusu began his professional journey in Ghana before moving to Spain, where he played for clubs including Real Oviedo, Leganés, Cartagena, Salamanca, and Córdoba. His career continued to flourish in Azerbaijan with Qarabağ FK, where he won the league title, and later in Turkey with Ankaragücü and Hungary with Ferencváros, securing further championship victories.
On the international front, Owusu represented Ghana at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and made his debut in a friendly match against South Africa that same year.
Zalaegerszeg FC, known for their resilience and their Hungarian Cup victory in 2002, is looking to benefit from Owusu’s attacking prowess as they aim to improve their position in the league and reach their objectives this season.
Owusu will also be hoping to impress the club and secure an extension beyond the current season.
