Ghanaian midfielder Enock Kwakwa has explained why he parted ways with Swedish club Jonkopings Skodra.
The 27-year-old has disclosed that manager Patric Jildefalk failed to honour his promise of giving him play time, branding him disrespectful and dishonest.
“You saw what happened during the season. Patric has not been so respectful and I decided to move on in my career and do something else,” Enock Kwakwa told Jnytt.
“He was not honest. He promised to give me playing time but did not give it to me. So is football sometimes. But I am not a dramatic person and always show respect. I’m glad we managed to stay without playing qualifiers,” he added.
The former Manchester City prodigy’s contract with the club ended in November, but failed to reach a new agreement with the club.
The Ghanaian enforcer made only seven appearances in the just ended Superettan league.
Meanwhile, manager Patric Jildefalk has denied allegation leveled at him by the midfielder.
“It would be very stupid of me to promise any playing time. Especially when it comes to a player who was injured and had an operation. Those who did not take the chance to assert themselves in training and matches, they did not get as many chances later on,” said the coach.
