Ghana’s deputy captain, Richard Ofori was unable to help his side secure their first ever CAF Confederation Cup trophy on Friday evening in Nigeria.
The Ghanaian international could not prevent his team, Orlando Pirates FC from suffering defeat to Moroccon side RS Berkane.
Ofori played the entire duration of the match including the extra 30 minutes after the both teams failed to score within regulation time.
He finally conceded in the early stages of the extra time as a VAR review resulted in a spot kick for the Black and Orange team.
Orlando Pirates managed to struck back three minutes away from the full time whistle to take the game to penalty shoot-outs.
Ofori, in the quarter final clash against Tanzania side Simba SC saved a spot kick and scored the final kick to send his team to the semi-final.
He was expected to produce another moment of magic but failed to save a single kick despite having names of the takers on his bottle.
However, Ofori converted his own kick but his team loss 4-5 on the night to miss out on the trophy for the third time.
The Ghanaian international kept five clean sheets and conceded just a goal from open play in eight Confederation Cup games this season.
