Accra Lions collected their first win of the Premier League season with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Nsoatreman FC at home on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Salman Faris Tahiru opened the scoring with a sublime finish in the 10th minute, followed by Ezekiel Kwame Alladoh adding a second just seven minutes later. Although Stephen Diyou pulled a goal back for Nsoatreman three minutes into the second half, Most Valuable Player Blessing Assuman Dankwah restored the Lions’ two-goal advantage in the 67th minute at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Basake Holy Stars 1-2 Medeama SC
Medeama SC continued their perfect start to the season with a 2-1 victory over Basake Holy Stars at CAM Park. Striker Diawisie Taylor emerged as the hero, netting a stunning goal on his return to his former club to secure the win.
