Supporters of Accra Hearts of oak clashed with each other at the VIP section of the Golden City Park following their defeat against Berekum Chelsea.
The hot verbal exchange ensued between the supporters who are based in the southern sector predominantly the Ashanti region versus the supporters from the Greater Accra region.
A reporter of Kumasi based Bohye FM reported after the game it took police escort to get popular Hearts of Oak supporter Alhaji Akambe out of the stadium following the burst up.
According to the southern sector based supporters, Alhaji Akambi and some management members of the club are responsible for the club’s inconsistencies.
The irate support from the Ashanti region alleged Alhaji Akambi is the reason why postal player Winful Cobbinah hasn’t been first choice for coach Frank Nuttal.
