Head coach for Accra Hearts of Oak SC, Samuel Boadu has taken exception to rumours making rounds in the media space about his departure from Tarkwa-based Medeama SC.
The Ghanaian tactician has let the ‘cat out of the box’ as he reveals the real reason behind his decision to part ways with the Yellow and Mauves in the middle of the season.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Light FM about the rumours as to why he left the club, the Hearts coach denied the accusation by many linking his move away from the club to being a monetary issues.
According to him, he cut ties with Medeama because he was not a happy man at the club and that has nothing to do with money as reported by the media.
“I left Medeama with pains, not because of the money I was going to get at Hearts of Oak,” he told Kumasi based Light FM.
“Moses Parker and his wife are really good people. Whatever happened after I left Medeama, I don’t blame Moses at all because I know it’s some people behind who pushed it to this extent.
Boadu also accepted that, the Medeama SC owner, Moses Parker has every right to demand for any compensation from him after ditching the club for the Phobians.
“Moses has every right to demand whatever compensation because of the way I left.
“But there was a problem and it had nothing to do with the owner, his wife Essilfie [CEO], or Cudjoe.
“Those who are the problems of Medeama know themselves.”
“I am not the one to tell who or tell him what to do. All I can say is that he must be observant,” he advised.
Boadu became a league champion as a coach for the first time in his young coaching career after leaving the Tarkwa club for the 2000 CAF Champions League winners.
