Ex-Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng says he snubbed Manchester United in 2013, choosing Schalke 04 over the Red Devils at the time.
The former AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur man who currently plays for Hertha Berlin has played for more than 10 clubs in his career but says he didn’t join the English giant because he opted to play for Schalke 04 in Germany.
According to him, the Old Trafford club contacted him for his signature but decided to snub them and preferred a move to Bundesliga side.
“In 2013 I had the opportunity to go to Manchester United, but I chose the Bundesliga. Boateng played at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa for Ghana where the Black Stars reached the last eight of the competition.
He currently plays for German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.
