King Faisal coach Andy Sinasson won his first game in charge of the club in the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League on Saturday against Berekum Chelsea at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman.
The Ishah Allah Boys recovered from 3-0 down to dramatically defeat Berekum Chelsea 4-3 in the matchday 11 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
King Faisal were three goals down just after 20 minutes played in the first half before they came from behind to win 4-3 after regulation time.
Paul Attah Adjei opened the scoring for Berekum Chelsea in the ninth minute with the first shot on target in the game after the King Faisal defense went to sleep.
Berekum Chelsea increased the lead in the 13th minute after Stephen Amankonaa beat the King Faisal defender and hit a drive to beat the goalkeeper
Paul Adjei Attah scored his second goal of the game with a beautiful strike to beat the King Faisal goalkeeper from his far-right as Chelsea made it 3-0.
The first half ended with King Faisal reducing the deficit to 3-1 before the break.
The ‘Insha Allah’ boys came back stronger in the second half to win the game with a hat-trick from Kwame Peprah and Frimpong Boateng.
Speaking at the post-match, Andy Sinason said, “I told you from the beginning that we were going to win this game. I have told you previously that the way we create many chances if we start scoring we will score many goals and today I have been vindicated that we scored four goals and clearly that tells you that we are coming up.
”I am very happy that we were down by three goals but we didn’t lose hope because we were playing particular tactics. I changed the tactics in the second half and it worked perfectly for us.
”All that I can say now is that I thank my players, I thank my management and I thank everybody of King Faisal. I am really going to prove to them that Andy Sinasson is capable.”
Throwing more light on what exactly did the magic for him in the second half of the game, the Black Queens deputy trainer said ” It was the same players on the field but I pushed them to different positions and they were able to excel because it is something that we have been doing but today we change it and. We needed to reverse back when we were down by three goals and it worked for us.”
King Faisal picked their second win of the campaign after this win.
