The Black Stars of Ghana suffered a slim 1-0 defeat to the Atlas Lions of Morocco in Rabat on Tuesday night.
Even in the absence of some star players like Thomas Partey, Mubarak Wakaso among others, coach C.K Akonnor put out a good starting squad to face the Moroccans.

After 90 minutes of action, the Moroccans came out on top, beating the Blacks Stars of Ghana with a 1-0 scoreline following Goalkeeper Razak Abalorah’s poor punch.
Some Ghanaians have reacted to the performance of the players from the camp of the red, gold and green boys and had this to say on social media.

I'm disappointed the Black Stars lost this game. I thought the team didn't offer much in attack but same can be said of Morocco. It came down to the fine margins. The fine details. Concentration. Costly

FT: Maroc 1-0 Ghana
• Better second half from Ghana.
• Djiku introduction timely.
• Fameyeh: good introduction. Kudus good but needs more maturity. Amartey good.
• Atlas Lions surprisingly not proactive.
• Next up for GH: Ivory Coast on Saturday. https://t.co/mEc56Tpuz6— Gary Al-Smith (@garyalsmith) June 8, 2021
Jordan Ayew taking corners will never sit well with me.

The Black Stars fail to live up to expectation despite our high hopes for them
•Kudus has got everything to be a super super talent for many years
•Amartey repays the faith entrusted in him by Coach Akonnor
•Abalorah has got to learn how to keep things simple #MARGHA— Lawrence Baidoo (@kweku_lawrence) June 8, 2021
Everything good about this team has come from Kudus.

Full Time. Ghana lose to Morocco by a lone goal. Good morning exercise. Kudus clearly the present and future of this team. Must learn to release balls quickly tho. Amartey solid. Djiku impressive. Femeyeh with flashes of pace to burn

The Black Stars will need to go to the drawing board once again with a game against Ivory Coast next in line for Akonnor’s men.
