Issahaku Abdul Fatawu has become a popular figure in the domestic league and across the borders with his footballing skills and is one of the most gifted youngsters in the world of football.
The 17-year-old was a standout performer for Ghana’s Black Satellites team that emerged as winners of the 2021 CAF U-20 Championship in Mauritania earlier this year.
Issahaku is a left-footed player who can play on both wings, behind the striker and as an attacking midfielder due to his versatility and is one of the most gifted and exciting talents in Ghana and Africa in general.
During the 2021 AFCON U-20 championship in Mauritania, the Ghanaian scored two wonderful long-range goals which helped the West African giants to lift their fourth trophy.
Issahaku, who is undoubtedly one of the great talent to emerge from the northern part of the country in recent times and has been likened to the GREAT MAESTRO of African Football, Abedi Ayew ‘Pele‘ who also hails from the north of the country.
It is no surprise that the youngster has been likened to the Three-Time African Footballer of the year winner and also the first Ghanaian to win the UEFA Champions League with French giants Olympic Marseille in 1993.

At the age of 16, Issahaku Abdul Fatawu was adjudged the Most Valuable Player in the CAF U-20 Championship in Mauritania in February, a tournament that saw the youngster rise to the top and shot to fame in the country and across the globe.
After the impressive showings in the tournament, many top European clubs showed interest in the youngster including clubs like FC Basel in Switzerland, Udinese Calcio in Italy among many other clubs.
The young also showed his mettle when he was given a chance to play for Ghana against Uzbekistan in an international friendly and hit a stupendous long-range free-kick to announce his presence at the senior level in a game Ghana lost 2-1 with their second team.

The 17-year-old plays in the Ghana Division One League for Steadfast FC in Zone One and plays their home games at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.
This season in the Ghana Second Tier League, Issahaku Abdul Fatawu has played in five matches for the Black and Whites and has excellent stats to back the claims as being one of the special talents in the country.
Issahaku has scored six goals in just the five matches he’s played in the Division One League this season and has also provided five assists as well as winning four Man-Of-The-Match or Most Valuable Player award in the process.
Last Saturday, the 17-year-old bagged an excellent and eye-catching hat-trick against Wa Suntaa SC at home to send his team to second place on the league table after 15 matches with 30 points and a point behind leaders Berekum Arsenal.
With his blistering form for both club and country, the young lad is undoubtedly destined to reach greatness in the World of Football in the coming years if he should make the right choices with his career.
Should Issahaku reach his full potential and the highest level of football which is very possible due to his talent and capabilities, Ghana would be having a potential Africa best player in the near future and could help to end the long wait for the four-time Africa Cup of Nations winners to lift their fifth trophy in about almost 40-years.
