Former Hearts of Oak winger, Charles Taylor has strongly criticized the club’s goalkeeper, Richard Attah for his poor performance this season.
Taylor suggested that it might be preferable for the team to play without a goalkeeper than to continue using Attah.
The team has been struggling, having lost four out of their last five games in the Ghana Premier League. There has been a lack of consistency, especially in the goalkeeper position, over the past two seasons.
Charles Taylor, known for his outspoken nature, didn’t mince words when discussing Attah’s form. He highlighted Attah’s struggle to regain his fitness at the start of the season and questioned his effectiveness in the team.
In an interview with Angel TV, Taylor emphasized the importance of addressing performance issues within the team without harboring any ill will towards individual players.
He expressed his frustration with Attah’s performance, suggesting that the team might be better off playing without a goalkeeper if Attah’s form doesn’t improve.
“The kind of goalkeeping that Richard Attah is demonstrating makes me feel that it would be better if Hearts of Oak play without a goalkeeper. I’ve said it all, and I am done”
The comments from Charles Taylor serve as a wake-up call for both Attah and the Hearts of Oak team as they strive to turn their season around.
