KRC Genk defender Eboué Kouassi has described Ghanaian teen sensation Pierre Dwomoh as a ‘super talent’.
The promising full-back has been promoted to the first team of KRC Genk following his outstanding performance for the Belgian Pro League side’s second team last season.
Dwomoh is fighting for a place in coach Hannes Wolf’s starting lineup alongside Dries Wouters, Bryan Heynen and Eboue Kouassi.
The youngster is seen as a great talent at KRC Genk and Kouassi who has taken the Ghanaian under his wings believes the 16-year-old has to find his way to fulfill his potential.
“That’s right. In this way I try to keep everyone on their toes,” the Ivorian defender said. “Young people too, such as Pierre Dwomoh. A super talent who has to find his way in football. ”
“Then you have to help him a little as an older player. Sometimes with a firm tackle, sometimes with a pat on the back. I sort of think of Pierre as my smaller brother. In the same way, I got the help of Charles Kaboré at Krasnodar, who now plays at Marseille.”
The Ghanaian prodigy in the summer this year, extended his contract which will keep him at the Luminus Arena until 2024.
He was attracting interest from Juventus, Chelsea, Arsenal and Bayern Munich before he appended his signature on the new Genk deal.
