With just nine minutes left on the clock, Opoku reacted swiftly to bury a rebound from his own penalty, sealing a vital three points for his team. The result gives Basaksehir a four-point lead over sixth-placed Eyuspor, who have played one game more.
The victory effectively confirms Basaksehir’s qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League next season.
