Ghanaian forward, Joel Fameyeh has expressed his desire and readiness to play for the senior national team of Ghana.
In an exclusive interview with SPORTSworldGhana.com, the predator finisher revealed that he is ever ready to represent Ghana at the senior level but would wait for his opportunity and time.
“I am very much ready and prepared to don the Black Stars jersey but I can’t rush it because I believe everything has its own time and for that matter, I will wait for the opportunity to come my way”, he SPORTSworldGhana.com.
According to the FC Orenburg attacker, he respects any player who get called up by the coach and believes everyone that is called up by the coach deserves a chance.
“I have so much respect for any player who gets called up into the senior national team because I believe they all deserves to be there because they are all Ghanaians and have a point to prove so we must support anyone who gets the chance to play for the Stars “, he said.
On the other hand, the former Asokwa Deportivo SC goal poacher indicated that he feels set and ready for a call up and will not disappoint the technical handlers when given the opportunity to play for the Black Stars.
“I feel very much better now as a player and believe in my ability to strive at the senior level of the National Team when given the opportunity to play.”
“I am more matured than I was some years ago and I will grab any opportunity to prove my mettle as I did with the local Black Stars five years ago against Ivory Coast during my days in the Division One League with Asokwa Deportivo SC and it wouldn’t be a different experience for me because I have had stint with the Black Meteors as well”,he stated.
He furthermore said that as a professional footballer he would continue to work hard and leave the rest to the technical team to decide as to when they deem it fit to hand him his first senior call up.
“I believe in the technical handlers of the Stars and what I have to do as a player is to continue doing the hard work and let my performance do the talking on the field for me till I am handed my debut call up but I believe it won’t be long before I will get my chances with the team”, he added.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian international striker plays for FC Orenburg in Russia and scored eight top-flight goals last season with six goals to his name in the Russian National Football League this campaign.
